With a creative background and a deep understanding of the challenges faced, she brings invaluable knowledge to the board. Her expertise plays a vital role in supporting Young Minders in achieving its mission, vision, and goals.
Lydia Wanini
Founder and Charity Relationships Lead
Lydia Wanini is a passionate educator and home-educating mother of three. Motivated by her daughter’s experience of social isolation, she began leading a local group to help home-educating families connect and grow.

With a teaching background and love for learning, Lydia finds joy in empowering young minds. Through her charity, she partners with the British Science Association to make science more accessible and looks forward to creating inclusive, engaging spaces for all young learners.​
Maxwell Yaw
Trustee & Fund Raiser
Maxwell has been dedicated to supporting young people with SEND, helping them transition from home into the community. His commitment to home-educating families aligns with and strengthens Young Minders' mission and vision.
