Children’s Scavenger Hunt, Wildlife Awareness & Recycled Crafts

Let children explore, discover, and learn through nature with our hands-on outdoor activity session designed to spark curiosity and care for the environment.

Time & Location

27 Apr 2026, 11:00 – 15:00

Roots Allotment, The Maisonettes, Coulsdon CR5 2QQ, UK

About the event

Children will take part in an exciting scavenger hunt as they explore the natural surroundings, followed by a guided nature trail to learn about local wildlife, plants, and habitats. Through fun, age-appropriate wildlife awareness activities, children will discover the importance of protecting nature and supporting biodiversity.

Creative minds can then get stuck into crafting from recycled materials, including building their very own bug hotel to help support insects and pollinators at home or in the garden.

To celebrate their achievements, every child will receive a Junior Gardener Certificate, recognising their effort, learning, and care for the environment.

Activities include:

  • Children’s outdoor scavenger hunt

  • Nature trail & wildlife awareness
