About the event
Get ready for an unforgettable, hands-on learning experience! Operation Outbreak is an immersive 4-hour simulation where participants step into the role of scientists, leaders, and communicators during a fictional disease outbreak. Using a specially designed phone app and real-world decision-making tasks, teens will explore how pathogens spread and discover the impact of their choices in a dynamic, interactive environment.
Throughout the event, participants will:
Learn biology and epidemiology by tracking the outbreak in real time.
Develop data analysis and problem-solving skills through live scenario challenges.
Build leadership and communication abilities by coordinating interventions and collaborating with peers.
This is more than a game — it’s a unique opportunity to apply STEM knowledge in a fun, realistic setting, understand the science behind outbreaks, and practice teamwork under pressure.
